In lieu of partaking in the Italian Market festival this weekend, I decided to have my own, less-chaotic version of an Italian food fest with a delicious bread and cheese lunch: fresh Italian Sesame bread from Metropolitan Bakery and a little Crottin de Chevre from Shellbark Hollow- so creamy, buttery and salty. About 8 mini wheels arrived at the Farmstand this morning, super fresh from Shellbark. I thought it was so delicious, I bought two.

Although the cheese wasn’t very Italian, the bread is by far the best Italian loaf I’ve found in the city. Crisp and crunchy and nutty on the outside with a moist, fluffy, but medium-dense inside. Happy carb coma!
